1993 jeep grand cherokee no spark, no fuel. New keyless remote, PCM, battery, plugs, wires, distributer, rotor, camshaft position sensor, crank shaft position sensor, ignition module. (No power to ignition module) I Believe the problem to be in the factory security system (I bought the jeep Non-working so I do not know what the previous symptoms were) How can I find the security system and track the wires to find the problem. I'm stationed in Germany and have called the dealer in the states many times, this explains all the new parts and still no fuel or spark.

I hold a stock of wiring diagrams along with some component location tables - I´d appreciate if you´d let me know the VIN and the engine type your Jeep is equipped with. (If it´s not the 5.2 litre / 215 hp engine)

I also think it´s an immobilizer problem with your car.

Do you have a separate remote control to lock / unlock the car?
It´s important to know if the immobilizer ist transponder-activated or if the unlock-code is transmitted along with the unlock signal of the remote.

As far as I can see there were two different immobilizier systems built in during the buliding range of the Cherokee.

One of them can be reprogrammed without diagnostic equipment.

By the way - did you check the vehicles trouble code memory? It can be accessed without diagnostic equipment via counting the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) .

I purchased and programmed the unlock/lock keyless remote. (still no spark, but the doors do lock and unlock) Its a 5.9l 8V engine German spec.

I think its the immobilizer also. However, none of the trouble codes on that diagram indicate that. I dont know what an MIL is. (and it will take some time to get a DLC) Do you have any ideas on how to diagnose the immobilizers? Or override to test?

The MIL means the Malfunction Indicator Lamp, a yellow engine look-a-like control light on the instrument cluster.

Is it possible that your vehicle is equipped with an aftermarket immobilizer system? My paperwork says there was no immobilizer available from the manufacturer in 1993.
