within 3 working days you should have issued an "Arbeitssuchendmeldung" at the Arbeitsamt in written, personally or online.
You will loose 1 week of Arbeitslosengeld.

They termination notice does not need to contain a reason for the termination. As a matter of fact, this is not common as it makes it more likely that the termination can be rendered invalid at court.
In order to see if there was a valid reason for your termination you need to sue you employer witihn 3 weeks after reception of the termination notice. Thus, look for a local lawyer. In any case the lawsuit will enhance your chances to get more money out of the termination even if you efectively won't be working there in the future.
You may also hold your employer liable for the los Arbeitslosengeld due to your late Arbeitssuchendmeldung if there was no such hint in the termination notice.
Ahh, the notice only via E-Mail would be invalid under German law.
